1:45 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. TECHNICAL TOUR -- City of San Diego/North City Water Reclamation Plant - a new 30 mgd wastewater treatment facility constructed by the City of San Diego as part of a $1.1 billion wastewater improvement program. This tertiary treatment plant was put into operation this year and produces effluent suitable for nonpotable reuse. There are plans to add further treatment processes to purify the treated water to drinking water standards and to blend it with San Diego's potable water supply.
