Besides having the reputation as one of the prettiest towns in Canada, Niagara-on-the-Lake is also one of the most fascinating historically. The Town has retained its 19th century charm and is a wonderful place to explore with its forts, grand mansions, colorful gardens and parks, and potpourri of arts and crafts.
This tour will begin at Peller Winery, a place where people come to enjoy great wine, great food, and great company. It's also a place rich in history where you can learn and celebrate the many wonderful nuances of wine and the winemaking process: growing and tasting, pairing and serving, buying and cellaring.
The tour will then allow you to spend time relaxing in local gardens or on the picturesque walking and biking paths. Shopping on Queen Street in the Old Town, or in the antique shops of St. Davids and Virgil, is a favorite pastime for many.
Feeling energetic? The tour will end with an exhilarating experience aboard the Whirlpool Jet Boat. This powerful Jet Boat speeds upriver, making its way into the breathtaking stonewalled canyon that is the Niagara Gorge. The anticipation builds as the boat splashes into the whitewater of Devil's Hole Rapids. The ultimate destination is the legendary Whirlpool, just a half-mile below the tumbling waters of one of the wonders of the world, the mighty Niagara Falls! Please bring a complete change of clothes for the Wet Jet tour. Everyone will need them. The trip can be as wet as swimming. In fact, at times guests can be seated in the Jet Boat up to the knees/waist in water. Change rooms are located on site to use afterwards.
